Getting Started

Three things stand between you and your first order: an account, a verified email address, and a running service. This page covers all three.

Create your restaurant account

Open the Restaurant Portal, choose New Restaurant, and fill in:

• Restaurant Name — shown to your customers on the menu.
• Restaurant URL — your short public ID, for example the-golden-fork. Letters, numbers, hyphens and underscores only. It appears in every menu link and your team types it when they sign in, so keep it short and easy to spell.
• Your Name — the manager account name shown in the portal.
• Email and Password (at least 8 characters) — these are your manager sign-in credentials. The email must not already be used by another restaurant.
• Confirm Password — type the same password again, so a typo in a box you cannot read back does not lock you out of the account you just made.
• Promo Code — optional, if someone referred you.

Each restaurant has exactly one manager account, and the manager is the only person who signs in with an email address. Everyone else on your team signs in with a username — see Your Team.

Verify your email

Until your email is verified, the portal keeps you on the Verify Email page. Open it from the left menu, click Send Verify Email, then click the link in the message we send you. If it doesn't arrive, check your spam folder and send it again.

Start your service

Go to Services and pick a plan. You can click Trial this plan to start a free trial, or Subscribe to start paying right away. Until a trial or subscription is running, the menu, tables, staff and order pages stay locked, and customers who scan a QR code see "This restaurant is currently unavailable".

Every plan includes every feature. Plans differ only in how many tables and menu items you may have, so you can start small and upgrade later without changing how anything works — see Plans and what they limit.
